This was today, exactly 5 years ago, when Harsh and I were taking our pheras around the sacred fire. The dance was not at all planned, but I guess we were so happy that we couldn’t contain our excitement!
We met each other 6 years ago. I was only 19 years old back then, and he was 28. I was looking for a space to host a health seminar in Mumbai. That’s when I came across a wonderful space called Vedary, which was a healing centre created by Harsh.
During the seminar, I remember he would come and sit in the first row, and it used to make me so nervous 😳. But in between the talks of “I need comfortable chairs for all participants” to “can you also arrange the projector & mics,” he started asking me deeper questions. Somewhere between hosting these seminars and doing food tastings of the menu, I guess we fell in love. We realised we had had similar healing journeys, and that God had perhaps sent us on this earth for the same purpose and mission.
But, I was absolutely not prepared for marriage! Satvic Movement had just started & even the thought of my marriage seemed absurd and funny to me. Neither were my mum and dad prepared.
But the more time we spent with each other, we realised that we can’t stay without each other for more than a couple of days. Being with him, I felt like I was the happiest and luckiest girl alive, and every cell of my being knew that we’re meant to be with each other.
And somehow it happened. It was the 12 of Dec, 2019, when we exchanged vows, tied the knot, and became united into the beautiful bond of marriage.
Since then, we have been serving Satvic Movement together. We have tried to keep God in the centre of our relationship, and service at the centre of our work. It’s definitely not easy to work with your partner. We have disagreements (mostly about what to do or not do at the movement), but the maximum it lasts for is 30 minutes. We make sure that before going to bed, we tell each other EVERYTHING in our heart.
Today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude, to have found this companionship and thus, felt like sharing with you. We hope that we can continue serving you, and Satvic Movement, till our very last breath 🙏❤️
