Someone at WHO isn't paying attention to research regarding the human microbiome.  Diversity of microbes contributes to a stronger immune system, and diet contributes close to 60% of that diversity.  No one wants to invite food poisoning into their lives, but eating food "free from microbes" reveals a rather naive belief that "free from microbes" keeps us healthy.
