Trump is trying to one up Putin. With him now refusing to rule out using military force or economic coercion to illegally occupy Panama and Greenland. Saying that Denmark needs to give it up, and is now threatening to punish them with high tariffs unless they give it up. Greenland and Denmark have made clear that it is not for sale and that they don’t want to be part of the United States. Trump also said that he will use economic force to make Canada a state, he ruled out military force though.. So I mean at least you have that going for you Canadians. Trudeau says “there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell” Canada becomes part of the US. And another Canadian minister saying that Canada will never back down to Trump’s threats. On top of that, Trump says he’s going to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Trump is also reportedly considering air strikes on Iran. In addition to this, Trump also says NATO military spending needs to be raised to 5% of GDP from 2% – Which as of right now the United States doesn’t even meet this target.
