With only 4 weeks left to winter and the temperatures steadily getting colder we start pushing to close in the deck. Ideally we would like to get the stone on the foundation of our home and bottom of the deck before winter officially arrives. What started at a typical day abruptly takes a turn when Josh is injured and we end up in the Emergency Room.

  2. Thank you 😉 Google translator.

Hello, I have been following your channel for a long time. I live in Paris and I don't speak English in words and of course I don't understand. But I love what you do your joy, happiness and your very beautiful children. I hope Josh's injury is not too serious and that he will recover quickly and fully. Good luck to him and to you.

  3. So sorry to hear of Josh’s injury. Glad as well it was not worse. Will be praying he feels better soon. Praying for you and your family that you will be able to take care of what needs to be done.

  4. Love and prayers! I've broken 2 ribs at once in my life. I know how you feel. I pray that you heal quickly. But give yourself time. You are young fortunately, however it takes time to heal! Give yourself time!

  5. Long time watcher guys and this episode really moved me to comment. Get better dude I love everything about you guys. I wish I could help you guys but then that would mean the build would finish. Then I’ll be like the fish at the end of finding Nemo “now what?” 😅😅

  6. Fell off a ladder and broke my hip recently I iced the shit out of my thigh from the get go I healed so quick everyone was surprised but I iced like 3 hours or more everyday my surgeon said it was ok

  7. My dad walked on crutches his whole life and had many falls but the worst was when he cracked a couple ribs. There just isn't a lot one can do to relieve the pain especially if you want to keep going.

  8. Thank goodness the fall didn’t cause more serious injury (eg trauma-thorax). Take care, big guy! Enjoy a well deserved rest, and wishing you speedy and full recovery.

  9. Prayers on a quick recovery. I’ve been there not easy with broken rib’s. Very hard to breathe we live on a farm and I’m so very cautious because the life style we live not one of us can go down. Get well soon my friend.

  10. Josh been were you are brother, it hurts, and slow healing, me like all other west virginians love your content and look forward to you returning , healthy, be praying for you brother, and you have a great partner that will take care of you, God bless you

  11. My concern grows concerning your dangling hair near machinery. PLEASE ! Tuck it in or put it up when around any moving machinery. Accidents come out of the blue. Fractured Ribs, although painful, over time resolve, not so much a scalping injury.

  12. Aw man…after all those super dangerous tasks climbing on the ridge of the A frame, hanging from the cherry picker, and doing various tasks…a fall from the back of a truck sent Josh to the ER. Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery bro!!

  13. I pray in Jesus name that Josh's body is healed from bruising, fractures, and any back pain that he has experienced and that it feels brand new when he wakes up tomorrow morning! Put your trust in Jesus Josh, His grace is sufficient for you!

  14. A few years back I have injured my back on a deadlift… there is a time when I really cannot move for like two weeks. it happens to me like twice a year and my accident was 7 years ago… a horrible feeling… I hope Josh will get well soon.. All the best from Poland

  15. Hi Josh and Erin.
Sorry to hear about your accident Josh, understand only to well about Rib pain especially when you cough/sneeze/fart and laugh 😂.
I have had a few operations on my chest/Ribs and one of your best friends if you wanna get better a bit quicker is a Rolled up Towel secured at either end and the middle with some Tape, when you cough or sneeze or do breathing exercises ( if you have had a Rib injury it’s painful but a good idea to do deep breathing exercises ( it stops the fracture from becoming hard and keeps your ribs more supple ),anyway hold the towel over where your fracture(s) are and hold in place with your arm.
You more than likely have better physiotherapists in the US than here in the UK but listen to them and MAKE sure you do the exercises that they give you and you’ll be back to normal in a few weeks…… But you need to be careful for at least the next 6 weeks.
I’m sure Erin will take plenty of care of you and keep you in line lol 😂 and I’m positive that a little Nurse Ellie will be doing her part too Lol 😂.
Seriously tho dude I know it’s a killer breathing at the moment but breathing deep keeps those Ribs at the size that they should be and not constrictive if they heal at a shallow breathing.
Rest Up and Get better soon 😁

  16. I heard you. I have had it three times in my life, so painful. It is so hard for not to cough or laugh. It healed after two weeks or so. So take a lot of rest and take care Josh! They need you to be fit completely again to be husband, father and builder!

  17. Life is full of danger . Up to all of us to see them before they harm us . Know them and avoid em ! Healing is slow . Try juven it’s for wound healing I’m on it for after cancer surgery 3 times in 14 months . It works on tissue n bone . Happy thanks giving to u n yours from us

  18. At this point you're a man down, and can't afford to lose anyone else. So, it's time for a new strategy.

Switch to Plan B, button up the projects you've got going on – and wait till spring. You survived the trailer for two winters, you can afford to take this winter off and get back to it in the spring. Josh needs time to completely heal.

If I had any skill set you need I'd jump in the car and be there to help you tomorrow morning… but other than the fencing – you're at a point where only Josh can do what needs to be done…

I think this might be God's way of saying, "take a break guys."

  19. Hang in there Josh. Literally fractured mine 6 months ago dancing to baby shark with my favorite little man. Yeah it sucks, but you have an amazing 2nd half so I am sure you guys won't miss a beat. Glad it wasn't more serious, and enjoy some down time Sir

  20.
