The Odd Couple II

It’s a comedy celebration as Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau reunite to reprise their roles as Felix and Oscar in Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple II. The times may have changed, but thankfully not the traits that make ex-roomies Felix Ungar (Lemmon) and Oscar Madison (Matthau) the all-time perfect mismatch. Oscar is still an uncompromising slob who thinks a brown sock and a black sock is close enough. Felix is still a fussbudget who can’t pass a spice rack without arranging it alphabetically. After years of going their separate ways, the two are together again, en route to the weeding of Oscar’s son to Felix’s daughter. They’ve got the map, the rental car, a tankful of Simon’s comedy zingers, and they’re getting 1,000 smiles to the gallon.

  1. I'm sorry but the only thing this movie had to do with The Odd Couple was its name and the fact that it starred Lemmon and Matthau. This was more like Planes Trains and Automobiles…wedding edition!

As good as Lemmon and Matthau are together when they team up in a movie, this comes nowhere close to the excellence of the original Odd Couple OR Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men which they starred in together just a couple of years prior to this movie. In fact, the last 20 minutes or so reminded me MORE of Grumpy Old Men than The Odd Couple they way they acted towards each other.

  2. Classic with Jack Lemmon and Walter Mathau. They don't make movies or actors like this anymore but maybe it's a lack of good screen writing 😔 🤔 seems like our world can't tolerate movies without blood and gore….we see enough of that on the news each day! Thanks 😊 for showing this movie 🎥 👏

  3. I ❤️ the first, and the 2nd ❤️… even funnier 🤣😂😆❤️ especially, bangs on the car and calls Oscar a shithead…. 🤣🤣🤗So many mishaps for them to get to the children wedding 🤣🤣 and grumpy old men, and grumpier 🤗out to sea ❤️

  4. GREAT ACTORS, BUT DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO THE ORIGINAL "THE ODD COUPLE". I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS A COMEDY AND IT'S AS LOUSY A MOVIE AS I'VE EVER SEEN, BUT I WILL STRUGGLE ON TO THE END.

  5. Wow, I remember when I went to see this back when I was just 11 years old….my family had a big collection of old movies on VHS and the original "Odd Couple" was one of them. We HAD to see the sequel–I also remember seeing Lemmon & Matthau in what I think was their better later team-up "Grumpy Old Men" just a few years earlier. Gosh, these two were so freakin' funny & magical together.

  6. The good years. Where men dressed like men.
Not he she's. Hollywood is fk up. What they did to that poor guy. Skin tight pant and a ladys top. Blood red 'jumpsuit" female jumper. Not the industrial attire. Disgusting. Had it with the sicko men in this world. Think only below belt. U have to run these pervs out of business. Out of your neighborhood.

  7. I wish they had been able to make a part 3 where they shared grandkids together and both remarried. RIP Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. Thanks for the laughter over 5 decades.

  8. I've seen this sequel with Jack and Walter..on cable tv..years ago..but..it is not as good as the original. The only memorable thing about this forgettable movie..is this..it's the last time that these two talented performers..worked together.

  9. I could watch hours of Matthau and Lemmon bantering 🙂 The rest of this sequel was the expected cheese you get with sequels. But scenes with these two late, great actors was worth the full view on YT!

  10. Wow. I laughed so much through this sequel. They had such a acting chemistry and flow well together. I wish there were more wholesome hardassed in your face sweetness with actors and movies like this now days. Greatness from past days like these are missed! RIP. Need to see if YT has PT1 here too…
