Mad Max

In the ravaged near-future, a savage motorcycle gang rules the road. Terrorizing innocent civilians while tearing up the streets, the ruthless gang laughs in the face of a police force hell-bent on stopping them. But they underestimate one officer: Max (Mel Gibson, “The Bounty”). And when the bikers brutalize Max’s best friend and family, they send him into a mad frenzy that leaves him with only one thing left in the world to live for – revenge! Also starring Joanne Samuel, Hugh Keays-Byrne and Steve Bisley this rugged racecar of a film runs pure adrenaline!

  1. This film was extra special in the U.S. because we don't recognize any of the car brands, making just that much more "Mad Max" for us 👍

  2. Thanks YouTube watch this when it first came out at the drive in ,wow all those z1000,s speed is a question of money how fast can you go !

  3. Absolutely love this film, and the story of how it was made. Smart use of their budget, and It truly is a passion project.

Favorite scene will always be a tie for me. Toecutter and Johnny's death scenes.

  4. I've always enjoyed this movie, knowing it was a Aussie movie, what cracked me up was when their bikes the were lined up reviving their Japanese bikes. Not quite the impact as a line of Harley Davidsons.

  5. IM A FUEL INJECTED SUICIDE MACHINE!!! One of Miller's Masterpieces as far as I'm concerned with the Nightriders opening car chase sequence that has to be one of the BEST ever caught on screen with that awesome Holden HQ he was driving. When I first seen the 73 Ford Falcon Interceptor. I fell in love with car's"You can shut the gate on this one Maxie it's the duck's guts" CLASSIC! no unrealistic cgi here just raw awesomeness the way I like it and I can't leave out Brian May's music 🎶 scores were phenomenal 👌

  6. I absolutely love this movie and I can watch it over and over. I actually prefer the North American version. A lot of people don't know there are several versions of Mad Max. This being the original Australian version. The North American version has voice overs that better match each actor and makes the move a lot better.

  7. Did everyone just leave the baby outside? Again? Just like when they got to the first location and it was just Max and the wife. Then when they got to the tire shop, the baby was magically there. But was nowhere to be seen when they were laying in the tall grass. smh

  8. What kept me from puking when the lady fell into a soft bed of pine needles trying to decide to prep herself for gang rape or not, continues to run around half naked like a drugged floozy was how grandma had some spine and could fire a rifle. Way to go Grandma! Mel Gibson really agreed to star in this?

  9. This was awful. Apparently either the writing or the acting was so bad the villains seem to only communicate in hoots howls or yelling, no actually dialog. I guess the 12 yr old in me would have liked this trash but the adult me not so much. For that reason I'm out.

  10. This is my first time watching this movie and I have to say I'm very disappointed for 40 Years I've heard about this movie the end of world all dessert , no laws , home made vehicles like out of junk yard wars , it was nothing like that plus there seemed to be no plot no end

  11. Heck, violence is worse than this in cities nationwide lately. Thugz crashed a car with their pov in NY in broad daylight this week then robbed the passengers. That's what happens when you'd rather cuddle with criminals instead of prosecute them.

  12. my wife and I both recognized the impact of this film when all of our friends were critical of it. We were both amazed. She had a masters degree in film and worked for Paul Newman and I just loved films with almost a masters in philosophy and did my papers on movies.

  13. My god this a terrible movie. I lasted 15 mins and had to turn this garbage off.

10 minutes of this clown yelling and shouting about he is the NIGHTRIDER and im the baddest dude in the world. After 10 seconds of driving with mel gibsons character and hes crying and sobbing like a little prison bitch? SO Fng LAME.

  14. Mel Gibson
    Yesterday,
You didn't know my heart yet
    Today
    You do 🥂🍾
    If
You want to re-make it in my image and likeness

    Your Choice.

You acting was only good after they killes your child
    And
The outfit looked good on you.

What saved you from Hell Mel Gibson?

  15. A excellent plot twist would have been May's large mentally challenged son go Texas chainsaw on the bikers, and I'm talking bits and pieces dismemberment, love all horror content especially evil on evil

  16. I never realized what he said about goose until now and it's messed up that he says that's not goose… because he's all burned up they can't be friend's no more that's so wrong… Your charcoal so we can't hangout no more….Wth…I mean it's still a good movie it's a little weird and insane sometimes but it's not the worst movie i've ever seen…..

  17. Years ago……many years it took me to find this one on DVD.I had to because it shows how it set up for the best one in the series….ROAD WARRIOR…..Then Thunderdome….etc.Mel never made a bad movie i feel. Thanks for posting

  18. What a great old flick this one is. This flick was released over 42 years ago.
That is basically a lifetime ago. It is so cool to revisit this blast from the past and see Mel Gibson so young , all of the wild cars and M/cycles .
Thanks for the upload ! Well worth watching again. And again.
    Very cool !
