Japanese food guide for Japanese quickest and fastest steak shops, Ikinari Steak. Ikinari Steak, literally means Sudden Steak, with a simple concept of get your quality Steak Fix on quickly and whenever you want without the hassles and frills of them sit down places. Definitely my speed, which is why I’m here so often. Ikinari Steak has been serving up them thick hitters on cast iron plates since 2013, with now over 200 locations all throughout Japan. After you are seated and let them know your in the market for steak, you take your table number to the front counter to order your meat just the way you like it, how many grams and how you want it cooked. And right there on the spot, in front of you, they’ll cut your meat to size. Quick tip though, the steaks are served on extremely hot cast iron plates so I recommend ordering the meat at least 1 level more rare than prefer so can let the steak cook at the table while the plate cools down. And a little secret between you and me, you can actually order very rare for the nicer cuts of meat. Also, for those who like that dark brown brown, they can order it very well done.

  2. Nice video again, would like eat in the restaurant. Oh, but this garlic abuse….I like steaks and i like garlic, but massive garlic application onto steak kills any taste of steak. Just salt and good aromatic (!) pepper…No garlic needed.
    Garlic rice steak will not be my favorite. The soup thing is quite ok, some thing to try with steak leftover…

  3. Is that a typo at 4:15? 2800g of steak for $26.96 is probably a typo with an extra 0. Should probably be 280g. If it's 2800g for that price, people will be lining out the door. LOL

The soup you made at the end reminds me a a Sukiyaki fail I had at a restaurant one time I was so disappointed, I love Sukiyaki it's my favorite dish, I only know it to be one way, this restaurant where I had the fail also called it Sukiyaki but it wasn't the Sukiyaki I know and love, it was served in a kettle, like a soup, or like a stew, I did not like it prepared that way but both restaurants called it Sukiyaki on the menu, they both were Japanese restaurants in the US

    Where I live here in London, ON, Canada my husband goes to something like that during lunch at times. Its a local butcher shop / restaurant kind of place. He can pick what he wants and they cook it how he wants it, then he can sit down and eat it.

  7. Love Ikinari Steak. I will try to make it a point to drop by at least once if I was going to Japan. If you are on a budget (although to me Ikinari's prices are already decent), my tip is to go during lunch for the lunch menu (but some places are standing places only).

  8. Paolo, there's an error at 4:11 with the weights of the tenderloin. You marked the last steak at 2800g instead of 280g I'm assuming. Can't imagine their offering 6.17lbs of meat for that price! 😆

  9. Looks like this place is going to stay in Japan. They closed all of their US locations due to COVID. Too bad, it looked like something that could have worked but they put all of their locations in big cities which locked down hard.

  10. I love steak but no hate it when itsnpink in any way. I know I know that's not how its supposed to be but I prefer it well done with a slightly crunchy outside. I don't mind the extra chewing as long as it tastes good and actually breaks up when I do chew. When i cook steak at home I like to mix sherry wine , worschestshire sauce with some rosemary thyme and garlic and marinade my steaks then grill them well.the wine tenderizes it some while still getting the well done plus the flavor is awesome.
