  2. Shin Kishida was a Japanese actor, best known for his supporting roles in films and television series. He played Agent Nanbara in Godzilla VS. Mechagodzilla and He also played Daizaburou Arashiyama in Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan. (1974 and 1981)

  3. During the battle Anguirus scraps off some of Godzilla's flesh expose metal underneath remember King Kong's Fatality move where he ripped the dinosaurs jaw open well MechaGodzilla does the same thing to Anguirus damn

  6. I saw Many Off These At The OldDrive In Theater In South Mississippi About I'd Say 48 to 50 years ago lol 😂 They Were Great Back Then As A Kid , Those Were The Good Ole Days Yeah You Right ,

  7. It's hard to believe that MechaGodzilla was seen in 6 movies and 1 anime he was first introduced in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla, then was brought back in Terror of MechaGodzilla, then the third incarnation was seen in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla 2 where the robot was built by the Japanese Government as an Anti-Godzilla weapon, then we see it again in Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and it's sequel Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S. where the robot was literally and figuratively built on the bones of the old as this version was built using the bones of the 1954 Godzilla, then we see it in the first Godzilla anime Godzilla City on the Edge of Forever and the last time we saw Godzilla's mechanical doppleganger was in the most recent film of the Godzilla Monsterverse series Godzilla vs. Kong where in this incarnation the robot was built by the company of a megalomaniac billionaire who wanted to use the robot to kill all the Titans starting with Godzilla but in every version the robot was always destroyed with the acception of Kiryu the BioMechanical Godzilla as the last time we saw him he was sinking to the bottom of the ocean where the Cosmos said 'Godzilla's Bones must be returned to the sea Remember no Human being should touch the souls of the Dead'.

  8. I feel ashamed of myself because I use to have this Godzilla movie on DVD for 50th anniversary edition but I got rid of it by accident but now I want the same dvd copy back to add to my Godzilla dvd collection.

But now it's extremely ultra rare to get it back, reason I said that? If you look it up on Amazon for the same copy that I have it's worth almost 300 dollars (plus shipping) for brand new but buying it used it's worth almost 80 dollars (plus shipping)

  9. Wait a minute. A killing machine created by a higher intelligence that has a disguise used to infiltrate humanity, and its main objective is to destroy their savior. Why does that sound familiar?

  10. 1:20:30 “I can’t believe it. The magnificent machine MechaGodzilla has been defeated”

I love that line that shows that not even a cyborg monster can defeat a destructive, prehistoric sea monster

  11. This is literally one of my first watch Godzilla movie of all time! And I absolutely love this film, it just has a good storyline IMO and gotta love the king Caesar history as well! but I just can't believe it's on YouTube for free???? This is crazy but anyways love this film.

  12. In my opinion (that's a key phrase if you don't agree), the late Showa era movies kind of suck because Godzilla became a "good guy" who looked ridiculous. He wasn't even scary anymore by the mid 1970s. 1984's Return of Godzilla was the reset that Godzilla so desperately needed – a return to his roots as a destructive, malevolent metaphor for the folly of nuclear testing and the threat of nuclear war! Now I watch these 1960s and 1970s movies just for laughs and nostalgia.

  13. Wish they would re-release this on DVD. Can't find it any were at a fair price. I love the movie but 150.00 and is way way to much for it pluse without proof it's not a burn off DVD.

  14. Even after first seeing this movie on tv as a kid in the late 1970's I still can't bear to watch Angurus getting beaten up and having his jaw broken by MechaGodzilla. The sight of the blood gushing out traumatized me and I always believed Angurus was killed, which explains why he doesn't appear again in the movie. It still upsets me to this day.

  15. The release that listed was 1977, that was the release year of the film in the U.S. but it first was released in Japan in 1974. This movie was originally know in the US as Godzilla vs The Bionic Monster but changed to Godzilla vs The Cosmic Monster. Universal threatened to sue distributor Cinema Shares over the name 'Bionic' since it owned the rights to the Six Million Dollar Man.

  16. I REMEMBER BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S OR LATE 70'S DURING THANKSGIVING VAC, ALL THE GODZILLA,KINGKONG, & GAMERA MOVIES WERE PLAYED, THAT WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR. STILL IS!!! WISH THEY WOULD BRING IT BACK AGAIN!!!😭😭😭

  17. This is easily the "Best" in the 70's Era of Godzilla movies. Plus humans are awesome in this one, Thank goodness they didn't have annoying little brats in this movie. Just straight up cool and badass adults. Also another thing! Mechagodzilla came out the perfect timing for Godzilla's 20th Birthday, That year in the 1974!

  18. I remember watching this at my uncle and aunt’s house when I was younger. They had the VHS copies and whenever my mom dropped me off I’d beg to watch this one. It was, and arguably still Is, my favorite Showa era Godzilla film.
