Palestinian Authority security forces have killed Shatha al-Sabbagh, a young female journalist, in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to her family.
She died from gunshot wounds to the head late on Saturday, making her the sixth Jenin resident to be killed during the PA’s campaign to crackdown on anti-occupation groups.
The young journalist was active on social media, documenting the hardships faced by the residents of Jenin, particularly during the Israeli incursions and the PA’s security campaign.
While a security service spokesman has denied the allegation, saying she was killed by “outlaws”, Sabbagh’s family has said that it holds the PA “directly responsible”.
