City Slickers Billy Crystal (“America’s Sweethearts,” “Analyze This”), Daniel Stern (“Very Bad Things,” “Home Alone”) and Bruno Kirby (“Sleepers,” “Donnie Brasco”) star as three middle-aged men experiencing midlife crises, who embark on a two-week, New Mexico to Colorado cattle drive adventure to find renewal and purpose. They join a group of inexperienced urbanites, all who have no experience in the wild, and are lead by screen legend Jack Palance (“Batman,” “Tango & Cash”) who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role. Along the way, the “green horns” have run-ins with outlaws, mishaps and various misadventures, but learn to appreciate life and each other as they bring the cattle home. One of the top grossing pictures of the year!

  1. I'm watching this as we speak and it's still as funny as it was when I had first seen it. The cast was first rate and Jack Palance's Oscar win was well deserved!

  2. I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out, with my dad. I'm now exactly the age Billy was when he made this and my pops is 80, he just left town after a short visit and I'm always wondering if it will be their last trip up here. Great movie.

  3. Nice movie Billy Crystal. Heartfelt!! I am from Long Island as well. Grew up in East Northport. We moved to Tucson in 1979. A culture shock. I tried to ride a horse with friends and the rancher asked me where I'm from. Long Island and he said "city folk"!! Haven't been on a horse again. My husband live now in Albuquerque NM. It's all true!!! Thanks Billy Crystal for much laughter. Harry Met Sally, a favorite movie. Running Scared another good movie with the beloved Gregory Hines. Thank you Billy Crystal!!! Joan ❤❤❤

  4. Billy watching this movie, Billy Joel came on the TV singing Uptown Girl. How you felt about Norman and saving him. I rescued a Pitbull from a dog fighting ring in Phoenix. She has shown me it's not the breed that is bad but the Human breed is AWFUL!!! Thanks Billy 😊 Joan

  5. Favorite quote:
"Rolling, Rolling, Rolling, keep those doggies rolling, man my ass is swollen, rawhide. Get them up, move them out, wake them up, get them dressed, get them shaved, comb their hair, rawhide.
Tie me down, tell me lies, pull my hair, smack my thighs with a big wet strap of rawhide."

  6. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the laughs and the tears. My wife and very young son saw this in the theater a long long time ago. My sweet wife is gone, and my son is all grown up with a son of his own. This movie really holds up since 1991, when my son was three. Lost my love in 2015. The whole cast and scenes were great. Did anyone catch the Twin Towers in the distance in the last shot of New York?
I really enjoyed Jack Palance. He was one of the last of the old time western greats. Billy has always been great. Thanks for posting you folks at YouTubeMo.

  7. Its always fun to go back and revisit old classics that leave you with warm happy feelings.great cast .only thing missing was a good cattle dog. Thats always a must on any ranch .

  8. I remember watching this at 16 and it was hilarious because the chemistry and timing were brilliant. I'm about to turn 45 and it's hilarious because it's literally what me and my friends are living as we speak 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣(after movie update). I hope everyone out there finds that one thing. Be happy, live while you're alive and be grateful for even the hard times. They make the good ones great ones❤️❤️❤️❤️

  10. Just a good movie…Saw it back in '91 but didn't appreciate the iron worker's job description to the class as much as now with my 5 and 9 y/o grndkids living here and going to school. JP is just great here – RIP.
