  1. Wish we had these in Murica! I drive 7 miles, roundtrip to work, with a max speed limit of 45. Oh wait, I can get an electric skateboard with the same capabilities for the same price….DUHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  2. If they sold this for 1000 Euros in Germany and it would have at least 80 Km range and was reliable, i would definetly buy one for city driving. I have my V6 Chrysler and this is just for driving short distances alone, save gas and find a parking spot everywhere.

  3. I wonder where I can find those cars. I am from one of the second-tier cities in China and I have never seen them before. I think those cars just appear in some small towns and rural areas.

  4. No seat belts, child on lap, kids unrestrained, batteries under seat ready to catch on fire, no drivers licence to drive on the road with other vehicles. Did we just take a step back 50 years? Obviously these people have no concern for their safety nor their children's.

  5. What is worrisome in the video is the statement that no license is required to operate these vehicles. Not right. These vehicles are on the road in traffic and there has to be some form of drivers education. Slow vehicle makes no difference.

  6. This is what they west should be producing because the average commute is only short distance with one person and they are more efficient being lighter than the colossal suvs

  7. It’s really good that in China they allow you to drive them without a license, a great option if you don’t have a license or you are under 18 years old, because in Russia in this case you can only ride an electric bike or an electric scooter

  8. Another reason why some Chinese are against those mini ev is they are not being regulated by traffic law, nor they need a driver license to operate. We have a nickname called "老年快乐盒",basically means Elder's happy coffin box.

  9. 2:29 lead acid batteries are not sub-standard. they are what turns the starter motor for 99% of all petrol & diesel car engines! lead acid batteries are also easy to recondition & recycle. they are however cheap and have no where near the power density of lithium ion.

IMO THIS is when a booming economy makes a real impact on people's lives: when it provides accessible practical solutions to needs ordinary people. 50 years ago it was the bicycle, 20 years ago it was a scooter, and now it's this. i do understand the government's idea to protect the "proper" EV sector, but for these people owning a "proper" car isn't feasable anyways. so you migth as well leave them to use it since it's only this or the scooter or bus for them.

  11. They sell with the same brand of lithium batteries for their power packs as tesla now. 200km range with optional 2kw pack. Tiny 2kw packs I researched, they performed perfectly and you get 10 years use.

  12. Cheap, low tech(so its easy to manufacture), commercially available, practical, and useful for people who go to work or do grocery that are not too far from home. All these things make these kind of vehicles very beneficial to everyone and I think a lot of middle income countries would also benefit from this. They still should enforce having drivers license. Here in the Philippines, we also have these slow, ev kind of vehicles but are still required to have a driverse license.
