Amityville: The Awakening
In AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, Belle (Bella Thorne) and her family move into a new house, but when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, Belle begins to suspect her Mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

This story is different than other sequels this house looks more like the house from the first movie than the others the storyline is more unique

Youtube I have tried everything to improve the low quality sound on this video; changed all the settings on my PC, etc. and this isn't the first time I've had difficulty hearing good audio on a video from you…surely you should be able to increase the sound a little more.
I waited 3 years for this movie to come out in theatres unfortunately I missed the opportunity to see it till it came out on Bluray. Very entertaining to see newer Amityville version but I can't find the song from the Ending credits Catchy tune.

She doesn't remotely look like herself in this movie !! Weird !! Loved the movie though, the suspense never ended !! Ten stars at least. 😀😀😃😃😄😄😁😁😉😉

You know this story, well the original story, book, movie, etc has been called fake, a joke, a con, a lie. I remember doing a book report on the Jay Anson book. Wow that was a while back, YIKES! LOL. But in my research back then, in and around the 80's I found oddities. Now I am NOT saying a evil entity resides there on Ocean Avenue, BUT one thing that ALWAYS puzzled me was this. The gun that Ronnie DeFeo used to murder his family was a LOUD GUN! A VERY LOUD GUN! He killed his father, mother, brothers and sisters. All with NOBODY waking up or hearing this gun fire. Also the ONLY noise the neighbors heard was a dog barking around 3:15am. Again I'm NOT saying it's real. Just HOW could the neighborhood NOT hear this cannon being shot in this giant echo chamber? They shot a blank with the same type of distance and obstacles, and houses down the block heard it. Loud enough to startle them. So? How did nobody hear all those gunshots. That was my question I took from the entire initial crime. Now as for the Lutz family and the Warren's demon hunting "business", I see Ed and Lorraine as seeing💰🤑MONEY!💰🤑 Now they have been involved in some high profile and highly PUBLICIZED stories. Are they for real? I don't know. 50/50? Maybe? But when the truth came out about the why's and what's that were used in the DeFeo murders, and the subsequent stories with the Lutz financial issues?🤔 I won't call anyone a liar, because I WASN'T there. I can't say what was truth. Only they can. One of the Lutz children has claimed massive PTSD as a result of the house, while others have said it all was a hoax to make money. 🙄 What is the truth. I'll say this, I wouldn't spend a night there. Just on the off chance it could be real. Even if dormant, do you want to be the one to wake it up? NOPE!
I never knew of this Amityville movie and I've been a fan of this series since the book came out. There are a few stars, big stars in this. Kurtwood Smith (Red Foreman That 70's Show), Jennifer Morrison (House & the Nursery Rhyme show), Jennifer Jason Leigh(Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Bella Thorne, and more. Gotta watch this.

So glad I own this on DVD as well I'm a huge fan of the amityville horror franchise it's one of my favorite horror franchises besides the Halloween. Friday the 13th. Elm street children of the corn franchises. Etc I wish someone would make a fan film for the amityville horror serise or a spoof on YouTube like they do Freddy Jason and Micheal. I would do it if I had the talent and the money sure I can get alot of views if written perfectly. Anyway who ever posted this God bless you

I was 14 when he murdered his family, I was shocked, but after the Manson murders, and Vietnam, having nukes pointed at my city on the east coast of the USA from Russia, doing drills at elementary school, diving under our desks, I remember thinking how lame it was, as if my little wooden desk would help me from a nuke attack, just more violence in a violent world, I believe the spirits of those family members he murdered haunt the house, that's why it's haunted, because of him, not because of his myriad excuses, the dog told him, the devil told him, the mailman told him, bullshit, it was a spoiled piece of shit human that did it, Ronny, poor Ronny.

Volume is really low, difficult to hear properly☹️
I want to watch this movie but, I have my laptop sound at 100% and it is so hard to hear. When the ADS come on they are LOUD. So it is not my hearing. This happens on other movies. Anyone else have this trouble? Is it the movies or the my Lenovo laptop?

This movie is not scary lol
The scariest part of this movie is the criminally subpar sound mixing. It relies so heavily on audio jump-scares that it forces you to turn the volume up to even hear the characters speaking then assaults you with red-bar, earsplitting audio spikes. Dull acting at times, which would normally be forgivable if the story wasn't trying so hard to piggyback off of the source material. Overall, the movie is pretty gimmicky. If you have nothing better to do, give it a watch. But this isn't even good enough to warrant turning on for background noise, since you'll almost never hear it. 4.5/10
I thought it was a good story well acted but no where near enough scenes of Bella in her underwear

This is the best Amittyville horror storyline by far in my opinion and there's lot of twist to the real murders 😱
There's only 3 actors I remember from the original movie. James Brolin, Margot Kidder and Rod Steiger. James Brolin is married to Barbra Streisand.

They try their best to recreate the house on 112 Ocean Avenue but still get it wrong. Unlike all the people in these movies, this story will never die.

This movie was pretty good and one of the better Amityville movies made in the last 20 years. This movie is similar to the 1982 Amityville – The Possession movie but with a slightly different twist. Kinda like watching Amityville 2 The Possession but an updated modern version.
