Weeping angels in The Witcher 3, GTA 5’s vengeful Mount Gordo ghost, menacing PT radio messages in Metal Gear Solid 5 and a Luke Skywalker-like skeleton in Skyrim: behold the darkest easter eggs ever to make our skin crawl in our favourite games, and subscribe for a video like this every Thursday: http://www.tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox

Easter eggs are fun little references hidden in games, you know, for fun. Though occasionally they’re less like little in-jokes, more like horrible nightmares that you wish you hadn’t gone out of your way to discover.

Included in the video above are the vengeful ghost of a politician’s murdered wife who haunts the peaks of Mount Gordo in Grand Theft Auto 5, and the Dr Who-referencing weeping angels in The Witcher 3, which stalk you around a cemetery when you’re not looking at them.

That’s nearly as eerie as the crackly, menacing radio broadcast from Silent Hills “playable teaser” PT as an easter egg in Metal Gear Solid 5, in which it can be found inexplicably playing from a boombox in the Angola-Zaire border region. Brr.

Which are the spooky easter eggs that keep you up at night, armed with a cricket bat, with the TV turned to face the wall so things can’t crawl out of it? Let us know!
