Some people believe true victory can only be achieved when the victor never sacrifices their dignity for a cheap win. Those people are suckers because there are loads of great ways to get ahead if you only ditch your self-respect. Subscribe! http://www.tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox
The best and most exploitable part of a stealth system is the bit where an enemy forgets they saw you, or gets bored trying to find you, then goes back to whatever they were doing before they spotted you squatting in the shadows like a brave hero.
Consider Skyrim, in which the sneaking mechanic lets you nock an arrow then edge out from behind cover and shoot a boss in the face before he’s absolutely sure he can see you down there. Repeat one thousand times and you’ve got yourself an easy, if unglamorous, win.
Speaking of unglamorous wins, Starcraft 2 provides plenty of opportunities for cheap and cheesy early-victory tactics such as the proxy barracks.
In this infamous opening move, a Terran player starts the match by sneaking over to his opponent’s base and building a cheeky barracks near the entrance before they notice, then spamming the enemy’s undeveloped base with cannon fodder infantry.
When it works, the Terran player scores a win either on account of an insurmountable economic lead or how the enemy quits out of disgust.
And if all else fails, you could always buy your success with actual cash money from here in the real world, such as in Angry Birds, where you can pay to have a giant bird come and demolish a tricky level on your behalf. A win is a win, right? Guys?
